This instruction details the steps required to disassemble the Amphenol connector used on used on some SDR units. When replacing units with this type of connector it is necessary to remove the environmental shell and replace it with a LTW shell.
Unscrew the tail nut from the body.
Pull the seal back along the cable.
Unscrew the body from the front connector.
The next stage is to release
the latches that retain the half insulators into the front connector.
The half insulators are retained by four latches.
Place the front connector on a flat surface and press gently down.
Keeping the downward pressure use a small flat screwdriver gently lever the latch inwards until it just disengages. Repeat for all four latches.
Once the latches are disengaged the half insulators can be removed with the cable from the front connector.
Next use the flat screwdriver to separate the half insulators where they lock together.
Finally remove the half insulators.
