Affiliation

The process by which a radio identifies its location and talkgroup affiliation to the system as it moves through the coverage area. The radio sends its talkgroup information to the Zone Controller (ZC). The radio registers to a site, sending talkgroup information to the Zone Controller, and affiliates with a talkgroup.
