Zone Core

The equipment in a master site that is not part of radio access, command and control, or network connectivity. Only one core (sometimes referred to as a master site) exists per zone. The L core is a small scale version of M1/M2 zone core. The term small scale is used to distinguish this zone core from the larger M1/M2 zone core. The K core is labeled as conventional-only zone core as this core contains the conventional site controller (does not contain a zone controller).
