Low Level Guard Tone

Part of a Tone Remote Control (TRC) sequence. In conventional systems, if the base station is to remain keyed, the last function tone is followed by low level guard tone. As long as an LLGT is present, the station remains keyed. When voice is transmitted, the voice is summed with low level guard tone before routing it to the station in order to keep the station keyed.
