Simulcast

A two-way radio system topology that uses multiple transmitters on the same frequency in separate locations to transmit the same signal. The simulcast topology is desirable in areas where frequencies are scarce, and in areas where physical barriers (e.g., mountains and buildings) can cause deficiencies in signal coverage. This system may contain circuit-based or IP-based simulcast technology. Also known as simultaneous broadcasting.
