Network Management Subsystem

A collection of equipment whose function is to help provide for the management of the overall system. This would include the servers that support fault management, contain the databases and data distribution elements used for the system configuration information, and support performance and security elements of the network management solution. In addition, this includes the client software used to access the above servers and, which can typically be run from various locations in the system.
