Software Activation Problem Resolution

This section provides a list of error messages that can be displayed when software activation of a new version of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool software fails. Along with each error message is the recommended action to take to resolve the problem.

Software version activation failed. Check the state of the device. When the device is ready, perform the software activation again.
Software version does not exist.

Version does not exist on the device.

Activate a version of the software that does exist on the device or download the desired version to the device and then perform the software activation again.
Device is offline. Ensure that the device is online and when ready, perform the software activation again.
The version is corrupted. Re-download the correct version. Download a valid version of the software. Perform the software activation again.
