General Properties Tab for MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter Configuration in Non IP Simulcast Systems
This section contains a table showing the fields on the General Properties Tab for MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter configuration in Non IP Simulcast systems. For each field the field name, default value, range of values, and field description are shown along with whether the field is editable.
In the following table, all fields are editable unless a note in the description column indicates otherwise.
Field | Default Value | Range of Values | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Device ID | Blank | 00001 to 65535 | Serves as a unique identifier for the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter device.
NoteYou cannot edit this field.
|
Device Name | Blank | 0 to 19 alphanumeric characters | Specifies the name assigned to the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter device by the administrator.
NoteIf you modify this parameter, the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter is restarted to implement the change.
|
IP Address | 0.0.0.0 | As per System Configuration Plan ICD - IP Plan | Specifies the device IP address of the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter unit.
NoteYou cannot edit this field.
|
Minimum Jitter Buffer (msec) | 20 msec | 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, or 100 msec | Used for outbound traffic from the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator for non IP Simulcast systems. For analog IP systems, the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter has to hold on to the simulcast packets until their launch time. Set this field to the same value for all MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter ports of a given channel. This field should be filled in only if the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter is in an analog or mixed mode system (including IP Simulcast systems) or if it has at least one port that is connected to a base radio by a 4–wire or mixed mode link. The default minimum jitter buffer of 20 msec is based on the IP Transport Jitter of 10 msec. It is (2 * IP Transport Jitter), rounded up to the nearest tenth because the Minimum Jitter Buffer resolution is in multiples of 10.
NoteIf you modify this field, the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter is restarted to implement the change.
|
Minimum Digital Jitter Buffer (msec) | 20 msec | 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, or 100 msec | Specifies the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter Digital Jitter Buffer length for outbound traffic from GCM 8000 or GRV 8000 for non IP simulcast systems. Set this field to the same value for all MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter ports of a given channel. If this system is a digital system running in simulcast mode, the digital jitter buffer field should be set to 0. If this system is a non IP Simulcast digital system, this field should be set to (2 * IP Transport Jitter), rounded up to the nearest tenth because the Minimum Jitter Buffer resolution is in multiples of 10. This field (minimum digital jitter buffer ) should be filled in only if this MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) is in a digital or a mixed mode system or if it has at least one port that is connected to a base radio either by V.24 or by a mixed mode link.
NoteIf you modify this field, the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter is restarted to implement the change.

Version Name | Blank | Up to 31 alphanumeric characters | Specifies the release version of the device.
