Incompatible Version Between MLC 8000 Analog Comparator and the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter

This section provides a description of the error received when there is a condition where the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator (VGU) and the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) have incompatible software versions.

If there is a version incompatibility between the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator and the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter, the following appears in the log file:

Analog link failure Incompatible RPDFL Version [NodeId#] [RPDFLVer#]"

The symptoms are the same as a link failure between the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator and the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter. However, this failure is observed when you upgrade the entire channel cluster and either the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator or the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter fails to switch to the new release and continues to stay in the prior release. In this state, the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator and the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter are not able to communicate. The new software version must be applied to the MLC 8000 device that remains on the prior software version.
