Fixing a Problem with a Device not Displaying in the Channel Cluster Tree
Prerequisites:
- A channel cluster has been opened.
- The devices associated with the open channel cluster are not displaying on the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool main screen.
When and where to use:
Use this procedure to fix a problem where a channel cluster has been opened and the devices assigned to the channel cluster do not display on the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool main screen channel cluster tree display area
Procedure:
- Verify that the switch ports connected to the MLC 8000s are connected.
- Make sure the Local Area Connection (LAN card) TCP/IP settings on your PC match the subnet for the MLC 8000s.
- Connect to each MLC 8000, using its Local O&M port, and check that the device has its proper IP address. See procedure Retrieving the IP Address for an MLC 8000 Device.
