Options for Prestaging MLC 8000 Devices

The MLC 8000 Configuration Tool can be used to prestage MLC 8000 devices. Prestaging makes the on site channel configuration process simpler. There are three options for prestaging MLC 8000 devices:

• Provisioning the initial IP address for the MLC 8000 devices off-site
• Upgrading the device software off-site
• Upgrading the device software and provisioning the initial IP address for the MLC 8000 devices off-site
