Modifying a Base Radio to Digital Comparator Association

Prerequisites:

• The channel cluster for which the base radio to digital comparator association is being modified is open and displayed on the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool main screen.

When and where to use:

Procedure:

1. From the channel cluster tree displayed on the main menu of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool, right-click the base radio you want to associate with a different digital comparator. Select Configure Device.
   The Modify Device Configuration window appears.
2. Click the BR/Console Properties tab.
   The BR Properties-related fields appear.
3. Select the appropriate Port #.
   The associated channel details are displayed.
4. In the Associated Channel Details section of the window, use the drop-down list in the Channel Name field to select a new channel.
   The associated channel number is displayed in the Channel Number field.
5. Click Write to Device.
   A dialog box appears asking whether you want to apply these changes.
6. Click Yes.
   The MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) restarts due to this change. The base radio port now displays under the associated digital comparator in the channel cluster tree.
