MLC 8000 Analog Display and Control Application Functions
The MLC 8000 Configuration Tool with Analog Display and Control Application tool allows access to the Analog Display and Control Application by clicking the MLC 8000 Analog Display and Control Application icon from the main screen, which opens the MLC 8000 Analog Display and Control Application window.

The MLC 8000 Analog Display and Control Application portion of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool performs the following:
- Monitors the analog channels
- Displays the following information:
Voted Radio: This section shows the voted base radio. For more information, see Chapter MLC 8000 Configuration Tool Analog Display and Control.
– Analog Voter Nodes LEDs: These LEDs display the state of the base radio, which can be red when transmitting, green when receiving, both red and green when receiving and transmitting, or gray when idle.
- Subsite: This column displays the Subsite names.
- BR Name: This column displays the base radio names.
- State: This column displays the state of the base radios, which can be Active, No Activity, Disabled, or Failed.
BR Type: This column displays the base radio type and indicates whether the base radio is an Rx Only, Tx Only or Tx and Rx base radio.
- SQM: This column displays signal strength as measured by the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter.
NoteWhen a particular base radio is displayed with an SQM of zero, it means that either this base radio is not receiving the current RF transmission, or it is receiving the current RF transmission but it has a synchronization problem with the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator (VGU), meaning their clocks are not synchronized while the voting method is set to continuous voting.
- Provides the following functions:
- Vote Disable: The boxes in this column can be checked to disable voting for a particular base radio. This box can be checked for each base radio for which voting should be disabled.
- Force Vote: The boxes in this column are used to specify whether the base radio should be the radio selected.
Vote Disabling
The Vote Disable box is used to disable voting for a base radio. More than one box may be selected for each base radio for which voting should be disabled. When this box is checked for a base radio, incoming streams from the base radio are not used for voting by the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator.
Force Voting
Only one analog radio is selectable for force voting at one time. When a particular radio is selected for Force Vote, voting across the other radios is not used. The radio for which force vote is selected is the radio that is used.
