Symptoms:
- When Radio has
Flat Transmit Audio enabled as an accessory connector input, and the
radio is keyed using the accessory connector PTT function, no Private
Line tones or Trunking data will be transmitted.
- Some UHF R2 (450-512MHz)
display model Mobile Radio's may flash Synth Unlock. Non-display models
will emit a continuous "bonk" from speaker when a transmission
is attempted.
- Mobile radios
may fail to receive after a transmission is completed. The Mobile radio
will resume receiving if another transmission is made or the radio is
cycled off and on. The problem is more likely to occur in cold environments.

Cause: Firmware
required optimization.
Corrective Action:
Reflash radios with 4.01.18 firmware flash tool. The Flash Tool can be
downloaded from the MOL Resource Center under the Product Information
> Software > Firmware/Flashing folder.
$20.00 labor is authorized by warranty. Contact your local Motorola Authorized
Service Representative
to arrange for this modification.
Only Warranty Work
performed by an authorized Motorola Service Center will be eligible for
reimbursement.
Agency Approved product should follow the guidelines for repairs
and service.
