Subject: HT750 and HT1250 Radio Reset With Remote Microphone Attached

Symptoms:

When transmitting with a standard microphone, part number AAHMN9052 or noise canceling speaker

microphone, part number HMN9053 and the cord is looped near the antenna and the front of the radio, the radio

intermittently resets upon dekey and will act as if it has just been turned on.

Cause:

The reset with RSM on HT750/HT1250 UHF range one and two radios is caused by a ground on the internal

universal flex in the front cover to the controller shield (SH401) on the main board.

Corrective Action:

Place a rubber pad, part number 7585734Z01, on the left side of the controller shield (SH401) so that it is insulated

from the Universal Flex for all HT750/HT1250 UHF Band range one and two radios (shown in figure below).

While performing this procedure, make sure that the butterfly connection of the front cover shield

makes good contact with SH400 on the main board (shown in figure below).
