Deadline: 6-30-00

From: Subscriber Product Group / CGISS

Subject: HT750/HT1250 Last Number Redial

Symptoms:

The user may experience the following when using a HT750/HT1250 set-up for telephone interconnect.

When the user presses the phone button and then pushes the PTT button, the last number called is automatically redialed. There is no field in the customer programming software, CPS to turn off this feature

Potential Problem Radios:

All Professional Series HT750/HT1250 portables that use telephone interconnect.

Models Affected: AAH25KDG9AA4AN, AAH25RDG9AA4AN, AAH25KDF9AA5AN, AAH25KDH9AA6AN, AAH25RDF9AA5AN, AAH25RDH9AA6AN

Serial Numbers: 672TYWxxxx through 672TZYxxxx

749TYWxxxx through 749TZYxxxx

Cause:

The internal radio firmware (Ver. R02.00.01 and earlier) does not clear the last number dialed information from its memory. Therefore, when the PTT is pressed, whatever number was sent on a previous phone connection is sent again.

Corrective Action:

A fully evaluated and tested version of firmware is available, version R02.00.03. To correct the issue the portable must be upgraded to this latest version. This cannot be done in the field and the affected units must be sent to the Radio Support Center for the upgrade. The address appears below.

Motorola Inc.

Note: The firmware version beginning with R01.00.03 can be read on the model and serial number label on the back of the radio. If the firmware version does not appear on the label it is prior to R01.00.03
