Initial Setup and Configuration

This section contains step-by-step instructions for the configuration of the WAVE 3000 system software for initial operation. Use these instructions and the provided checklist to ensure you have properly configured your WAVE 3000 Server system with the correct IP addresses and ports.

Pre-Configuration Steps
	Connect Physical System Components This is the initial hardware connection and configuration included in print with the WAVE 3000 Server unit. If you have already connected your WAVE 3000 Server and set Broadband Adapter and Radio Adapter IP addresses, then skip this step and proceed with configuration. Connecting Physical System Components

	Access WAVE 3000 Server Sign-in to the WAVE 3000 Server administrator interface. Accessing the WAVE 3000 Server

	Configure Broadband Clients Enter required setup information for broadband client connectivity. Configuring Broadband Clients
	Add and Allocate CALs (EID) Licenses If you have not received EIDs from Motorola, they you must obtain them. WAVE 3000 Server will not operate without valid EIDs. Add your EIDs and allocate your CALs. Adding and Allocating Licenses
	Create Broadband Users Create accounts for each broadband (WAVE) user. Adding WAVE Users
	Create Radio Users Create accounts for each Capacity Plus radio user based on Unit ID. This allows Private Calls to broadband clients and provides broadband clients with an alias for the radio user. Adding Radio Users
	Create Talk Groups Create Talk Groups for the Groups in Capacity Plus that you want to communicate with broadband clients. Adding Talk Groups

	Add Contacts to Broadband Private Call Lists Give each broadband user a list of radio and broadband users they can call. Adding Contacts for Private Calls

	Install Mobile Communicator Clients Download and install WAVE Mobile Communicator clients. WAVE Client Information
