Managing Private Call Connections (Contacts)

The Contacts page specifies the contacts for a WAVE user. WAVE users can only initiate Private Calls to those users in their Contacts list.

Note:

WAVE users may receive calls from those users not listed in their contact list, but cannot initiate them. For example, Bob has John listed in his Contact list, but John does not have Bob in his Contact list. Bob can call John, but John cannot call Bob. To give John the ability to call Bob, add Bob to John’s contact list.

Radio users do not have a Contact list in the WAVE 3000 Server. Radio users may initiate or receive calls with any WAVE user with a valid ID in the WAVE 3000 Server.

WAVE users that are not enabled for Private Calls with radios cannot add radios to their Contact list, and can only call the selected broadband users.

To add a contact to a WAVE user’s Contact list

1.	Sign in to the WAVE 3000 Server, and then click the Users tab. The Users page opens.

2.	Under the Contacts column, click the numbered link for the WAVE user to modify. The Users: Contacts for Subscriber page opens.

3.	In the All column, select the users that this user can call, or select All to add all users.

4.	Click the Save button.

Important:

The contacts are not added to the user until you commit the configuration change. Click Commit Changes when you are ready to activate the change.
