Adding a WAVE User to a Talk Group

WAVE users must be added to a Talk Group in order to access that Talk Group. Each WAVE user may have a maximum of 15 Talk Groups. The All Call Talk Group is automatically added, and cannot be removed. WAVE users must have at least one (1) Talk Group.

Note:

Attempting to Commit Changes after creating a WAVE user without a Talk Group results in an error. To correct this error, add at least one Talk Group to the WAVE user.

To add a WAVE user to a Talk Group

1.	Sign in to the WAVE 3000 Server, and then click the Users tab. The Users page opens.

2.	Under the Talk Groups column, click the Talk Groups link of the WAVE user that you wish to add to a Talk Group. The Users: Talk Groups for Subscriber page opens.

3.	In the left column, select the Talk Groups to add to this WAVE user, or select All to add all Talk Groups.

Important:

If you add more than 15 Talk Groups to a user, you will receive an error when you attempt to save. If this occurs, remove some of the Talk Groups until you have reduced the number to 15, and then click Save.

4.	Click the Save button. The Users page opens.

Important:

The WAVE user is not associated with the Talk Group until you commit the configuration change. Click Commit Changes when you are ready to activate the change.
