About This Document This document is provided for radio administrators installing and operating the WAVE 3000 server. The instructions in this document are written with the assumption that you are trained in the operation of the radio system integrating with the WAVE 3000 Server. It is also assumed that you have access to records listing information about your radio system such as Talk Groups and Subscriber IDs. You may also require access to the code plugs in your radio units and repeaters. If you are not familiar with the radio system you are attempting to integrate with the WAVE 3000 Server, please contact Motorola Support to request the assistance of a certified technician. Note: All WAVE (Wide Area Voice Environment) clients connect via broadband. In this document the terms “broadband client” and “WAVE client” are used interchangeably and mean the same thing. In telecommunications, broadband is a wide bandwidth data transmission with an ability to simultaneously transport multiple signals and traffic types. The medium can be coaxial cable, optical fiber, twisted pair, or wireless broadband (wireless broadband includes Mobile broadband). In contrast, baseband describes a communication system in which information is transported across a single channel.
