WAVE 3000 Server Operation : Maintaining the WAVE 3000 Server System : Updating the WAVE 3000 Server

Updating the WAVE 3000 Server
Occasionally, Motorola may issue new software to upgrade the WAVE 3000 Server or to fix an issue. If you receive a new installation file from Motorola, use the following procedure to upload the file and begin the upgrade process.
Important:
During the update, all WAVE clients are logged out and cannot sign in until the update completes. WAVE users attempting to sign in at this time receive an error message. WAVE users who were logged in when the process started will be logged out and their clients will continue to attempt to log back in until the system is available, at which time they will automatically log back in.
The amount of time required to update may vary. Radios will continue to operate as normal, but cannot communicate with WAVE clients.

Updating to WAVE 3000 R1.2
After upgrading a WAVE 3000 Server to WAVE 3000 R1.2, the Anonymous User Radio ID feature is added to the WAVE 3000. Previous versions of the WAVE 3000 Server required all WAVE users to have a Subscriber ID. WAVE 3000 R1.2 provides the capability to create WAVE users without a Subscriber ID.
On the Setup > Radio System Interface page, locate the Anonymous User field. By default, the value will be 16776351. Modify the Anonymous User ID to match a valid ID in the radio system. This field is used to identify WAVE broadband clients that are not Private-Call-enabled. For more information see Modifying Connect Plus Radio Connections
