WAVE 3000 Server Operation : Managing System Configuration Settings : Configuring Hardware Ports

Configuring Hardware Ports
The WAVE 3000 Server uses two Radio System Adapters. Each adapter has two ports on the back of the DL380 hardware. Only one Ethernet cable should be connected to each of the two adapter ports.

The two left ports connect the WAVE 3000 Server to the internet and the two right ports connect to the Connect Plus radio system.
There should only ever be two (2) Ethernet cables connected to the WAVE 3000 Server - one for the Radio Adapter and one for the Broadband Adapter. Connecting additional Ethernet cables to either adapter will cause network traffic issues with the WAVE 3000 Server controller cards.
For instructions on initial connection of hardware ports, see Connecting Physical System Components
