WAVE 3000 Server Capacity

The following table specifies WAVE 3000 Server capacity by Radio System.

WAVE 3000 Capacity with Linked Capacity Plus

The WAVE 3000 Server provides the following capacities when used with the Linked Capacity Plus radio system.

Max Active Users: 500. This is the number of users who can be simultaneously active on an WAVE 3000 Server

Max Provisioned Users: 1000 This is the total number of users who can be added to an WAVE 3000 Server.

Max Provisioned Talk Groups: 250 A total of 250 Talk Groups may be provisioned on the WAVE 3000 Server.

Total Calls: 100

Simultaneous broadband to radio calls: 50 (Talk Group and Private).

Simultaneous broadband to broadband Calls: 50 (Talk Group and Private).

Broadband to LMR Calls:
50 maximum calls may be placed between broadband to LMR system. These 50 calls consists of Talk Group and Private Calls. For example, a transmission over a Talk Group consumes 1 out of 50 calls. A Private Call at the same time consumes 2 out of 50 calls.

Broadband to Broadband Calls:
WAVE 3000 Systems also allows broadband to broadband Group and Private Calls. A total of 50 active calls may be placed with any combination of Talk Group or Private Calls.

Over Capacity Behavior

When WAVE 3000 Server resources are not available to make a Call, WAVE broadband clients flash red and provide an error tone to indicate they are unable to establish the Call.

Radio units rely on the resources of the radio system and continue to operate as normal. If the WAVE 3000 Server is over capacity, radio users will not receive any indicator that WAVE users cannot hear their transmissions.
