Transferring a WAVE 3000 Server License

If you replace an existing WAVE 3000 Server unit, then use the following procedure to transfer all EIDs and CALs associated with the old WAVE 3000 Server unit. During the transfer, a working internet connection is required to access the Motorola licensing server.

Important:

Do not use Setup > Manage Client Access Licenses (CALs) page to edit the existing EIDs and CALs.

To transfer a WAVE 3000 Server license

1.	Sign in to the WAVE 3000 Server system.

2.	Click the Maintenance tab.

3.	Click the License Transfer link. The Maintenance: Transfer Licenses page opens.

4.	Click the Transfer Licenses button. The WAVE 3000 Server unit connects to the Motorola licensing server. All EIDs and CALs associated with the old WAVE 3000 Server unit are removed from the old WAVE 3000 Server unit and transferred to this WAVE 3000 Server unit.

5.	Navigate to Setup > Client Access Licenses (CALs) and verify that all transferred EIDs and CALs appear correctly in the Client Access Licenses list.
