WAVE 3000 Server Operation : Managing System Configuration Settings : Configuring Hardware Ports

Configuring Hardware Ports
The Setup tab allows the configuration of WAVE 3000 Server and Linked Capacity Plus IP addresses and ports.
The WAVE 3000 Server uses two Network Interface Controllers (NICs). Each controller has two ports on the back of the DL380 hardware. Only one Ethernet cable should be connected to each of the two ports.

The two left ports connect the WAVE 3000 Server to the internet and the two right ports connect to the Linked Capacity Plus radio system.
There should only ever be two (2) Ethernet cables connected to the WAVE 3000 Server - one for the Radio Adapter and one for the Broadband Adapter. Connecting additional Ethernet cables to either adapter will cause network traffic issues with the WAVE 3000 Server controller cards.
For instructions on initial connection of hardware ports, see Connecting Physical System Components
