The Ethernet cable is connected to the SDR using a standard RJ45 connector protected by a harsh environment protective casing. Note: To remove connector see Amphenol Connector Dis-assembly
Terminate the Ethernet cable with an RJ45 connector plug.
Pass the RJ45 plug through the tail nut, seal and body of the environmental connector.
Place
the half insulators around the RJ45 connector plug as shown below .
a) Push down the cordset latch on the RJ45 connector
b) Place one of half of the insulators onto the RJ45
c) Place the second half of the insulator to meet the first half. Push
firmly together until an audible click indicates that they are locked.
Feed back the cable so that the retainers fit onto the body of the environmental connector.
Tighten the tail nut on
to the body forcing the seal to compress around the cable.
Screw the front connector
onto the body of the environmental connector.
Push the assembled connector on to the Ethernet socket of the SDR.
