Resolving a Problem Where the Status Displayed by the Configuration Tool for a Device is Incorrect
Prerequisites:
You have observed a problem where the status for a particular MLC 8000 device as the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool displays does not match the actual status of the device. For example, the device is being shown as disconnected from the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool and it is connected, or the device shows as connected and it has been disconnected.When and where to use:
Use this procedure to resolve a problem where the status for a particular MLC 8000 device as it appears in the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool does not match the actual status of the MLC 8000 device.Procedure:
- Close the MLC 8000 Configuration tool by clicking .
- Open the MLC 8000 Configuration tool. See procedure Opening the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool.
Verify that the configuration tool has reestablished connection with the MLC 8000 device and that the status is displayed correctly. If so, you are done. If not, continue with step 3.
- Restart the PC on which the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool is installed. Then repeat this procedure.
