Uninstalling the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool Software Files

Prerequisites:

The MLC 8000 Configuration Tool has been installed.

When and where to use:

Use this procedure to remove the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool from a particular PC.
NoteThe C:\ProgramData\Motorola\MLC8000 CT\Data\Backup folder is not deleted when the uninstall is performed.

Procedure:

  1. Back up the MLC 8000 system configuration if you are saving the configuration data for later use. See procedure Backing Up the MLC 8000 System Configuration.
  2. Close the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool with Analog Display and Control application.
  3. Close all files in the C:\ProgramData\Motorola\MLC8000 CT\Data folder.
  4. Click Start → Programs → MLC 8000 CT → Uninstall. Or, for some operating systems, click Start → All programs → MLC 8000 CT → Uninstall.
    The MLC 8000 CT installation maintenance program window appears.
  5. Click Uninstall.
    A message appears asking for confirmation that the MLC 8000 CT tool and all of its components should be removed.
  6. Click Yes.
    The maintenance program uninstalls the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool.
