Adding Contacts for Private Calls

The contacts listed in a WAVE user’s Contacts page indicate the users this WAVE user can call. Users may receive Private Calls from those users not listed in their contact list, but cannot initiate them. For example, Bob has John listed in his Contact list, but John does not have Bob in his Contact list. Bob can call John, but John cannot call Bob. To give John the ability to call Bob, add Bob to John’s contact list.

Radio users do not have a Contact list in the WAVE 3000 Server. Radio users may accept calls from any WAVE user. Radio users may initiate calls to any WAVE user.

To add a contact to a user’s Contact list

1.	Click the Users tab. The Users page opens.

Note:

WAVE users are indicated in the Type column as Broadband.

2.	Under the Contacts column, click the number link for the WAVE user to modify. The Users: Contacts for Subscriber page opens.

3.	In the All column, select the users that this user can call, or select All to add all users.

4.	Click the Save button.

5.	Click Commit Changes when you are ready to activate the change.
