Adding Radio Users

Use the following instructions to add Connect Plus radio users to the WAVE 3000 Server.

Connect Plus radio users requiring Private Call capability with broadband clients must be added to the WAVE 3000 Server. Radio users who are not added to the WAVE 3000 Server may still participate on Talk Groups, but will not display an Alias, and cannot initiate or receive Private Calls from broadband clients.

To add a new radio user

1.	Click the Users tab. The Users page opens displaying the Users list.

2.	Click the Add New User button. The Add New User page opens.

3.	Select Radio system user. The required fields change based on your selection.

4.	In the Alias field, enter the alias for this user. The Alias name appears on all broadband endpoints, and is used to identify users during transmission. WAVE users also use the alias to specify a connection when making Private Calls.

Note:

Connect Plus radio users will not see this alias. It applies only to the WAVE clients.

5.	In the Comments field, optionally add any comments. Comments are for administrative purposes only and are not used externally.

6.	In the Radio Interface: Connect Plus section, make the following modification:

In Subscriber ID, enter the unique ID used in the Connect Plus radio system to identify this radio user.

7.	Click the Save button when you are done.

Important:

Do not click Commit Changes until you have created all Talk Groups and associated them with users. The next two sections provide instructions. If you click Commit Changes now, users will be invalid because they have no associated Talk Groups.
