Accessing the WAVE 3000 Server

After configuring the Linked Capacity Plus system and ensuring the MOTOTRBO radios can communicate, you must configure the WAVE 3000 Server for operation.

Important:

During initial setup, do not click the Commit Changes button until you have completed all steps to configure WAVE 3000 network connections and licensing. Use the Save button as instructed to save your changes. Committing Changes before you are ready can result in validation errors.

Linked Capacity Plus radios function completely independently of the WAVE 3000 Server, and will continue to operate without the WAVE 3000 Server or if the WAVE 3000 Server system fails in any way. Likewise, once the WAVE 3000 Server is configured and operating, WAVE 3000 Server systems are independent of Linked Capacity Plus and will continue to operate without Linked Capacity Plus.

To access the WAVE 3000 Server interface, you must use a browser and navigate to the URL provided by your vendor. The default URL is: https://192.168.0.1. This may be changed by the vendor prior to shipping. Consult the documentation provided with your WAVE 3000 Server.

To sign in to the WAVE 3000 Server

1.	Sign in to a computer located on the same network as the WAVE 3000 Server system.

2.	Open a browser window.

3.	Type the address to the WAVE 3000 Server into the address bar of the browser, and then press Enter.

Note:

the WAVE 3000 Server uses SSL for security. You must use https://<URL> to access the WAVE 3000 Server unit. The first page will warn of an untrusted certificate. Click “continue to the website.” The Log in screen opens.

4.	In the Password field, enter the administrator password and then click the Log in button.

Note:

The default password is admin.
