Specifying the Radio System Interface

Each WAVE 3000 Server interfaces with a single radio system. This document explains how to configure the WAVE 3000 Server for interoperation with a Linked Capacity Plus Radio System.

On first operation of the WAVE 3000, the Radio System Interface will be unselected. The administrator should specify the new Radio System Interface once.

Important:

Changing the Radio System Interface deletes all current settings and restores the WAVE 3000 Server to an initial state. Only your current password remains unchanged. Because of this, you should never change the Radio System Interface unless you intend to re-enter all required integration information.

To specify a Radio System Interface

1.	Click the Setup tab.

2.	Click Radio System Interface.

3.	In the Radio System Interface Type list, select Linked Capacity Plus.

At the warning prompt, click the Yes, change the radio system button to validate the change. After validation, the system updates, and all recorded data is deleted in favor of the new radio system interface. If you are setting up the WAVE 3000 Server for the first time, then no information is lost. If you are switching radio systems then you must then reconfigure all settings manually, including Users and Talk Groups.

Note:

Changing Radio System Interface Type does not affect the administrator password.
