Removing an MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter from a Channel Cluster

This procedure is used to delete an MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) from a conventional channel cluster.

Prerequisites:

• The MLC 8000 Configuration Tool is operational. See procedure Opening the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool.
• The channel cluster from which you want to delete the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter is open. See procedure Opening a Conventional Channel Cluster.
• Before the subsite link converter can be removed, the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter ports must be unassociated with any comparator.

When and where to use:

Procedure:

1. From the main screen of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool, right-click on the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter you want to remove and select Remove Device.
2. If you are asked to confirm the deletion, click OK.
   The system remotes the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter from the open channel cluster.
