Configuring a Base Radio Port from the Channel Cluster Tree
Prerequisites:
- The MLC 8000 Configuration Tool is operational. See procedure Opening the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool.
- The desired channel cluster is defined and open, and the associated channel cluster tree is displayed on the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool main screen. See procedure Opening a Conventional Channel Cluster.
When and where to use:
Use this procedure to configure a base radio port from the associated channel cluster tree.

Procedure:
- Right-click a base radio in the channel cluster tree and select Configure Device, or select the base radio in the channel cluster tree and click Configure Device.
The Modify Device Configuration screen for the selected base radio port opens.
- Configure the base radio using all available fields on the Base Radio Properties tab. For more information on the allowed values for each field, for an IP simulcast system, see procedure BR/Console Properties Tab for MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter Configuration in IP Simulcast Systems or for a non IP simulcast system see procedure BR/Console Properties Tab for MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter Configuration in Non IP Simulcast Systems.
- If you changed the advanced configuration data, click Apply.
- Click Write to Device.
The changes save to the base radio and the Modify Device Configuration window closes.
