Fixing a Problem where the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool Program Appears More than Once in the Programs and Features Page

Use this procedure to fix a problem where the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool program appears more than once in the Windows Control Panel Programs and Features page. An example of such a situation is shown below in this example of the Programs and Features window.

Procedure:

  1. Back up the MLC 8000 system configuration. See Backing Up the MLC 8000 System Configuration
  2. Close the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool by clicking File → Exit.
  3. Open the Programs and Features window from the windows control panel.
  4. Select one of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool versions in the name list and press the Uninstall/Change option.
  5. Click Yes to uninstall the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool program.
  6. Repeat the previous two steps, selecting a version to uninstall and then confirming the uninstall, until all of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool versions in the name list have been uninstalled.
  7. Install the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool program. Follow Installing the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool Software Files.
