Removing a Digital Comparator from a Conventional Channel Cluster
Prerequisites:
- The MLC 8000 Configuration tool is operational. See procedure Opening the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool.
- The conventional channel cluster from which you want to remove the digital comparator is open. See procedure Opening a Conventional Channel Cluster.
- Before the digital comparator can be removed, any MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) ports associated with it must be removed.
When and where to use:
Use this procedure to remove a digital comparator from an existing conventional channel cluster.
NoteThis procedure applies to digital-only systems.
Procedure:
- From the main screen of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool, right-click on the digital comparator you want to remove and select Remove Digital Comparator.
- If you are asked to confirm the deletion, click OK.
ImportantIf a warning message appears indicating that the digital comparator cannot be removed because there are MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) ports associated with it, remove the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) ports from their association with the digital comparator. Then follow this procedure to remove the digital comparator from the channel cluster.The system deletes the digital comparator from the channel cluster.
