Associating Base Radio Receivers (Region) to a Base Radio Receiver in the Voted (Receiver) Transmitter Steering Table

This procedure provides the details for associating the BR receivers for a region using the Regional Voting type on the Analog Vote tab of the MLC 8000 Comparator.

Prerequisites:

NoteThis procedure should be repeated until all base radio receivers have the desired receivers associated. At the end of the association process, the default association for a base radio receiver is All BRs (all base radio transmitters). At the table configuration, a Console entry is available, similar to the base radio receiver, which enables the Console default transmitter and receiver steering associations.

Procedure:

  1. From the channel cluster tree displayed on the main menu of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool, right-click the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator (VGU) for which you want to update the steering table.
  2. Select Update Voted Transmitter Steering Table.
  3. In the right column, select the check box of the base radio you want to associate with the receivers. The Select All check box is available in the lower-left corner.
  4. Click Associate Receive BRs.
A list of unassociated (to the previously selected receiver) base radio receivers appear on the left side and the list of associated receivers is on the right side.
The Receive BR Selection for Regional Voting dialog box appears.
  5. From the (Subsite) Receive BR list, select all base radio receivers that you wish to associate using the Ctrl key for multiple selections. Click Add.
  6. If necessary, from the Selected (Subsite) Receive BR list, select the base radio receivers that you want to unassociate using the Ctrl key for multiple selections. Click Remove.
A Remove Alloption is available to unassociate all receivers with the previously selected base radio receiver.
  7. Click OK.
NoteRepeat steps 3 through 8 for the rest of the receivers to populate the transmitter steering table. In the case where a base radio receiver was associated with an empty list (no receivers associated), the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator (VGU) automatically associates the base radio receiver to itself and an empty list is not possible. The automatic update appears after the next step.
  8. Click Apply.
The MLC 8000 Analog Comparator Voted (Receiver) transmitter steering table updates and the window closes.
