Enabling MLC 8000 Force Voting for a Particular Base Radio
Prerequisites:
- The MLC 8000 Configuration Tool is operational. See procedure Opening the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool.
- The channel cluster for which you want to view the Display and Control Application is open and the channel cluster tree appears on the configuration tool main screen. See procedure Opening a Conventional Channel Cluster.
When and where to use:
Use this procedure to enable force voting for a particular base radio when you want consistent selection of that particular base radio. When force voting is enabled for a particular base radio, that radio is always the voted radio until force voting is disabled. Also, when a particular base radio is force voted , the other base radios continue to be displayed with their real SQM values, unless the voting method is “vote and hold”, in which case the SQM value for the other base radios is displayed as 0.Procedure:
- Open the Analog Display and Control application. See procedure Opening the Analog Display and Control Application with MLC 8000 Analog Comparator Selected.
- From the Analog Display and Control application display, click the Force Vote box in the row of the base radio for which you want to enable force voting.
NoteIf you change the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator you are monitoring, the force vote operation for the base radio you had enabled force voting on may be reset (the associated box now shows as unchecked). If this situation occurs, use this procedure to enable force voting for that base radio again.
