Disabling MLC 8000 Voting for a Base Radio
Prerequisites:
- The MLC 8000 Configuration Tool is operational. See procedure Opening the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool.
- The channel cluster for which you want to view the Analog Display and Control Application is open and the channel cluster tree appears on the configuration tool main screen. See procedure Opening a Conventional Channel Cluster.
When and where to use:
Use this procedure to disable voting for a base radio when you do not want that particular base radio selected. With disable voting on for a particular base radio, the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator discards streams coming in from the particular base radio.
NoteThe vote disable configuration setting in the Display and Control application does not change the configuration of the base radio itself. The base radio continues to send audio to the MLC 8000 even if the Display and Control application shows that the base radio is disabled for voting.
Procedure:
- Open the Analog Display and Control application. See procedure Opening the Analog Display and Control Application with MLC 8000 Analog Comparator Selected
- From the Analog Display and Control application display, click the Vote Disable box in the row of the base radio for which you want to disable voting.
NoteIf you change the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator you are monitoring, the vote disable operation for the base radio you had disabled voting on may be reset (the associated box now shows as unchecked). If this situation occurs, use this procedure to disable voting for that base radio again.
