Correcting a Problem where the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter Port Shows Incorrect Port Information

Prerequisites:

When and where to use:

Use this troubleshooting procedure to fix a problem where the port of a particular MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) is shown with an incorrect base radio location. This problem is caused when the AGU port was initially defined in the context of one channel cluster and then the AGU was added to another channel cluster (and hence it is being used in two channel clusters concurrently). This operation is not a valid operation. An MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter can be assigned to only one channel cluster at a time.

Procedure:

  1. Determine to which channel clusters the particular MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter (AGU) is assigned. See Viewing a Particular Channel Cluster Tree.
  2. Determine to which channel cluster the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter should belong.
  3. Leave the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter assigned to the channel cluster to which it should belong. Remove it from any other channel clusters with which it is currently associated. See procedure Removing an MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter from a Channel Cluster.
NoteIf the MLC 8000 Subsite Link Converter should connect to more than one channel consider having all the channels to which it should connect in a single channel cluster.
