Associating Base Radio Transmitters and Receivers (Region) to a Console Initiated TRC Function in the TRC Steering Table

This procedure provides the details for associating the BR transmitters and receivers for a region using the Regional Voting type on the Analog Vote tab of the MLC 8000 Comparator.

Prerequisites:

NoteThis procedure could be repeated until all TRC Functions have the desired transmitters and receivers (regions) associated at the end of the association process. The default association for the TRC Function is All BRs (all base radio receivers and transmitters).

Procedure:

  1. From the channel cluster tree displayed on the main menu of the MLC 8000 Configuration Tool, right-click the MLC 8000 Analog Comparator (VGU) for which you want to update the steering table.
  2. Select Update Console TRC Table.
  3. In the right column, select the check box of the TRC Function you want to associate with the transmitters or receivers. The Select All check box is available in the lower-left corner.
  4. To associate the transmitters to the selected TRC Functions, follow steps 4-6 in Associating Base Radio Receivers (Region) to a Base Radio Receiver in the Voted (Receiver) Transmitter Steering Table. Click OK.
  5. To associate the receivers (region) to the selected TRC Functions, follow steps 4-6 in Associating a Base Radio Transmitter to a Base Radio Receiver in the Voted (Receiver) Transmitter Steering Table. Click OK.
  6. Click Set Steering Group Name to assign a steering group name (alias) to the selected TRC Function.
  7. Click Apply.
    The MLC 8000 Analog Comparator Console TRC steering table updates with associated transmitters and receivers lists (regions) and steering group names. Then, the window closes.
